Flexishade is a new division of Hortisystems. We are increasingly getting enquiries from outside of the greenhouse industry from homeowners and architects who wish to use aluminium-based shade materials for other applications. We have successfully fitted the materials to domestic conservatories as well as retail areas and public buildings, with great success.

Hortisystems has fitted many screen systems in commercial greenhouses in the UK since 1991. The 1990s saw the development of flame-retardant aluminium materials which meant we could supply and install these materials in garden centres. The last few years has seen significant interest in rolling blinds. These are usually fitted with flame-retardant materials and tubular motors for optimum flexibility.
